Genital Herpes Revealed!
What is Genital Herpes?
Genital herpes is the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STD for short) in the world of 21 century. Yes it is! As I mentioned before in my previous post, the genital herpes is the second common form of Herpes Simplex viruses after the Oral herpes. Nearly one out of every five americans is infected with genital herpes disease. Perhaps the number is much higher because many people even don’t realize they are infected.
Who is at risk?
The genital herpes is highly contagious disease which infects human genitals. Features of genital herpes include pain, itching and sores in your genital area. It occurs in both tweens and adults. Genital HSV-2 infection is more commonly found in women. This may be due to male-to-female transmission being more likely than female-to-male transmission.
What are first signs?
First signs typically appear as one or more blisters near the genitals or rectum. When blisters break they leave sores tha usually take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.
